The Climb Up: Orientation and First Impressions

It all started in 2020 I got admission to a women’s college which I never thought of. It was COVID time so I didn’t get a chance to visit there for 1.5 years so only attended classes online and got all the information from our seniors and faculty. But at the beginning of 2022, my college reopened when I was in sem 4.At the start, I wasn’t that active in my college life until department Elections happened ( though I have given my name for cr and also didn’t get many votes ;) ). Still, after that, everything changed for me from being the most introverted one to organizing and anchoring events.

College Chronicles: Triumphs, Trials & Unforgettable Rides

Little did I know, that my journey in academics and beyond would shape me in ways I never expected academically, I always had a keen interest in my subjects. Some were challenging, but with immense faculty support, I was able to navigate through them successfully. While I wasn’t among the top-ranking students, I also didn’t fall into the average or below-average category — I steadily carved my learning path.

One of the most valuable aspects of my education was gaining hands-on technical experience through practical projects. These experiences later proved instrumental in refining my developer handoff process during design submissions, bridging the gap between technical execution and user-centric design.

As for my college life beyond academics, I was quite introverted and didn’t have a vast network of connections. However, the few friendships I formed became meaningful bonds, proving that quality always outweighs quantity in relationships.

Riding the Highs: Milestones and Tiny Wins

One significant aspect of my experience was being a part of The Eniac Society for two years, from knowing nothing to eventually taking charge of organizing and hosting our annual technical fest-Techmelange 2022 & 2023. This task proved to be the most challenging yet rewarding. The growth I experienced during that time was immense.

A little story time

It was not easy to go for the same when I was contesting for secretary all things were in my favour but the tables turned overnight, my teacher-in-charge said I would not be available to contest in the elections because of short attendance just before 1 day of election day. I was literally crying, everyone supported me especially (Kanika di) my senior and (Ridhima) my batchmate. and then the teacher rechecked all the things again revaluated my attendance and they gave me permisiion to contest the election and i won with all the support from my department. so yeah it was not easy at all.

Moreover, joining GDSC (Google Developer Student Club) remains a highlight of my college journey. Being part of the core team gave me an opportunity I will always treasure. Through seminars, events, and meetups, GDSC opened doors for my career growth and allowed me to discover and hone my strong skill sets. I will always be grateful that I got that opportunity to be a part of the core team and I will cherish this forever.

One should try to indulge themselves in activities (whether it is for society or the department ). The more you will indulge in such activities the more you will gain exposure.

Pulling Into the Station: Graduation and Bittersweet Goodbyes

During my college journey, I felt grateful for the invaluable lessons I gained from this phase of my life. The fact that it was a women’s college gave me the strength and courage to face future challenges.

If there’s one thing college taught me, it’s that growth happens outside comfort zones. From organizing events to building friendships, every moment shaped who I am today. And while this chapter closes, the lessons and memories will always stay.
